Technically, according to ethics, as a professional, you shouldn’t be treating an ex. IF she was a “great” psychologist she would know this basic premise; like ethics 101. I do hate when women psychologists are always portrayed as 1) hypersexual and sleep with their clients or 2) super unethical. Ughhh…
You would be terribly surprised how hard it is to get the courts to even recognize physical abuse. Further, you would prob be surprised how often women get taken down with the men and lose custody of their children bc they exposed their children to violence by not leaving (regardless if they tried or if they couldn’t or if they feared for their lives).
