Definitely not even neutral, you’ve written a psychopath. If he needs info, literally all he has to do, and this is from the chapter with the riddler, is scan his brain. You have him needlessly torturing people, for information he can get at, literally, the flick of a wrist.
He was willing to be the hero Gotham needed, despite having the intelligence and the tools to just erase the crime, but he wasn't a good person in the sense that he would sacrifice everything to be a hero. The Batsuit was on ... he would resort to torture when necessary, but only very mildly. He preferred to use fear and emotional damage to do most of the work because despite not being a good person, he wasn't evil. He didn't like or enjoy torture. - The_writer88881mthCommented
I highly doubt that, if he had a good heart he’d just knock him out and scan his brain. He’s quite literally needlessly torturing him. You introduce character pothole after character plothole, it’s like you don’t even temper what you write before. It’s astonishing
Batman didn't say anything for a while and only looked at Anatoli. He didn't start with the torture, because he knew that the idea and the thought of getting tortured was just as bad as the actual torture. Batman wasn't a nice guy. And he has an issue with materials how? If he can create these things, materials are not an issue. The big problem with making a character this smart is, no person is that smart, so it’s really hard to write something entertaining or realistic. I like the concept, but you’ve failed pretty hard on the execution, you have to instantly suspend so much belief and can’t apply any logic or knowledge of actual physics to the story. It’s quite literally like watching looney tunes, might as well have given him that power. No matter how smart you are, it doesn’t allow you to destroy the laws of physics.
