For house elves, it just seems like they think there are no other options or they don’t even think torward that direction. Even dobby didn’t really think about until he was finally actually free

Thing is, they wanted to be free, as well as them having options and paths to take afterwards like joining the North and getting work there. Add in the fact that they were mostly mistreated by their owners, it’s no wonder they would seek freedom, I would too. Like if I was your slave, at least be kind to me or accomodating so that I don’t rebel on you, you know what I mean?
