contemplating* interesting typo though
hoot? wouldnt an owl be slightly MORE distracting?
what were you even attempting to say here? proof read your story please.
author has a billion typos per chapter. an editor would be an incredible QOL update for the story but im guessing not enough funds to aquire one.
precipice means edge. saying shes been on the verge of dying so many times that it is almost normal for her. death is as scary to alice as a dog is to us, even when we know dogs are tamed wolves.
think of if the assassin's ability to jump into shadows and reappear elsewhere was the first choice of a new person. if they have a poor battle sense, they could very well dodge one attack just to put themselves in front of another. same idea goes for Alice and the option to be spider woman. if she latched onto, say, a gorilla esque monster with her webs, she would at best mildly annoy it, and at worst give that gorilla a direct link to her body that it could use to rip her in before she can react and one tap her. so if you put zero thought into it, then yes this is artificial and forced. however, anti hunter abilities are weak and niche. anti monster abilities are extremely potent and absolutely can be used as anti human, but thats not the reason the hunter chose that type of ability. the 4 sigil guard's ability to restrain a single target in close range might not be very useful if thats their first ability against a monster that is strong enough to naturally break out with little effort. i feel like anti human sigils could be best described as more support oriented at best in a monster fight, and only useful for physical enhancement at worst.
