A trusted (practically) second hand of one of your leaders enemies just appears during your campaign against another enemy and that doesn’t ring any bells at all. Like how did he get there in the first place? Shouldn’t he use the same way back? That unless he came from the enemy camp who had now lost the battle. If he actually had a message why not wait until the battle is over? No matter what, any diplomatic missions have to wait everyone is settled otherwise it could be another tactic or a trick to take him out or distract menes. Also you want me to believe menes didn’t see him when Alex’s generals stay in the back and watch the entire field for tactical commands.
