It’s connected to marvel, that much is in confirmed. The knock off spider man and doc ock scene in the show is only like that cuz they couldn’t do what happened in the comics. Which was a whole marvel crossover.

After getting back to his house I accidentally removed the hood covering my head to prove that I was being courteous, but little did I know that my little accident would result in the old man without any hesitation suddenly grab me by the throat and started choking me, If I didn't bring my rusty dagger with me I could had died from an old man! I had to kill a stray puppy from the village streets and bury them both at the same spot one, where the puppy is at the two meter mark while the old man is at the five meter mark so if they use dogs to scout out the corpse they would first find the dead puppy instead of the old man's resulting in them thinking that the puppy was the only thing buried there.) - Doge_Blade1mthCommented
