I wish Riftain could see Novan and Lord Triton again. They are both father figures to him.
People hate the whole “you must learn to accept me” thing but you forget that in that timeline Maxi didn’t have a choice. Riftain could leave her or stay with her, but if he left her and divorced. It would ruin her reputation. No man or family would want her and her father would hurt her more. So yea she had no choice but to learn to accept him. Sad reality but true. Y’all need to look at this from how life was in the Middle Ages. Don’t blame Riftain when he is doing right by her and didn’t leave her even for the princess.
I love this book! I just can’t get enough. If you love romance, knights, dragons, mages (wizards) and adventures, You will love this book. I will say the ending is a bit lacking on things left out and information missing, and honestly it felt rushed. But 5 ⭐️ because it is still my favorite book 2 years in a row.
This feels unfinished, and also I don’t want Riftain to calm down that much and treat her like an older brother would 😣
I’m surprised other knights didn’t already give her their oath.
Reminds me when Maxi asked Riftain if he got a kiss in his first tournament from some fair maiden lol. Why did the pope do such a stupid thing with the sword when so much could go wrong?!?
Riftain’s part in this chapter confuses me, idk what this secret that he hides from Maxi is in the first place 😅 can anyone explain what happened there?
Rosetta doesn’t have a choice, the prince and king want her to get the land for the future second king and for political reasons (power). She can’t really go against them, she doesn’t have that type of relationship with either to be able to deny the land. I kinda feel bad, Rosetta also wants nothing to go with the land but she is forced into it. And she wants so badly for her older sister to help but she says “that’s your problem”. I unde Maxi but I also understand Rosetta.
Where is Riftain? I thought they would stick together like glue after all this time apart.
