Of course, 'magic' (mysterious seventh brain region powers) works as a justification. Given Phantom's mind and memory are intact, he must have somehow duplicated all the patterns of his brain. Including the chip?
The Translator note explains the funny name. But not the typo at the beginning. But, then, there have been lots of strange phrases used. Still, fun stofy. (Oops: my own typo. Story.)
He's the perfect image of a person who judges everything by its contribution to a single goal - and loses all the value that arises from unobvious directions.
Just to accentuate the speed: 7.8 km/s is how fast the ISS moves. I know this realm is much larger than Earth, but if MC were to jump, he might be able to stay in orbit.
That's why I always feel so short!
When has an opponent ever said this phrase and had it come true? I don't think we're ready to begin the chapter about Meng Chuan's heir who will avenge his death by a lion demon.
Did you mean 'Career'? And by the earlier logic Aiden used, should they all reconsider if they want to be in the military? Not just the death & danger, but the eyes on you all the time.
He feels he's just a simple person, with straightforward goals. I can't say I've forgotten the people who said stupid things to me...
He's been tempering himself with pain, as well. That should help his focus. But I like the idea of him discovering there are other weaknesses in his will despite his practice with a single avenue of strength. We'll see!
I am wondering as well where the art comes in. It gave him a little insight and a super-power, but then it has gone away. I know the MC has been busy with trying to get into the academy, but if he doesn't use the skill, won't it fade? At this point, it almost seems he needs to create his own 'body' with the art skill rather than just follow one of the blueprints he's just gained access to.
Kind of like the foundations they chose earlier? I hope the knowledge of these formulae is either common or they can have a lot of time to study. (And why would you NOT choose a higher-grade formula if given the choice?)
Wow, a father who has duties that keep him away from family for years on end still dedicates power to keep his children alive. I might hate his priorities, but this makes it sound like he accepts some responsibility. Even if that final statement makes him a bit of a jerk about it.
