I am relieved to see this friend. I have lived your experience and lived through it. I hate that you must feel the pain but it is only pain that teaches is what is important and how strong we truly are. Breathe it in then exhale and let it go. Next thank your guiding stars. Love is a powerful thing and indeed blind. Be grateful that you were not led then left when you really needed to be able to depend on the one there. It will sting, but it will fade as you lick your wounds. Some day one who admires and respects the matured, if forcibly rounded, strengthened you will appear. As I'm sure you've heard.. life is not for the faint of heart. I've been bleed past all sensation by my care for the creatures of this world, so I know how you feel. I truly hope you never know how I do. But I've long since learned to never regret nor question the flow of fate. Say what you mean. Do as you intend. And let the ash blow away with the wind. Endings are sad. Beginnings are scary. Middles test ones mettle. But in each of them there is something beautiful to be had. I don't know that I believe in finding ones true place, because that insinuates that we would moving, changing, and living as I have witnessed so far. I think the best we can hope for is another to keep pace with that can sympathize when we stubble, laugh when they do, and offer as well as accept a helping hand.
