I'm not upset at all. I think killing characters in well written and meaningful ways can be a very powerful tool in writing. That in hand with good pacing is absolutely fine. But what legion is doing is none of the above. The writing is becoming frantic, plot details are becoming very deus ex machina, and pacing feels extremely rushed as of he just wants to be done.
At this point the story quality is just getting worse and worse. I suspect Legion is just trying to upkeep chapter output for tier 2 now and doesn't have enough time to properly plan out the story. The writing is starting to feel lazier and lazier and twisting things for fast plot convenience is getting boring. I'd much rather have fewer releases per week with higher quality writing and propper story planning. đ´
Way too much exposition on abilities and armor that has continually been described before or has no real baring on the resultant action. Feels like more and more padding is being added to chapters. I'd rather have one full chapter per day than 2x 1/3 of chapter with non-consequential "fluff." Not sure if it's a money grab or Legion just can't sustain 2 quality chapters a day, but it's almost not worth me throwing coins at anymore. Definitely regretting the Tier 2 purchase if it remains at this quality level.
Well, back to "alternative" methods of reading. I'm down to pay premium for a physical, properly edited book. I'm down to give Legion more money. But I'm not willing to throw any more money at this greedy platform just to have the "privelage" to spend more money. đ
If at least Dawn doesn't die from this encounter, I'm going to be real dissapointed. Too many deus ex machina situations for the the Horsemen, who are poorly written as plot devices in order just to keep Lith and story on edge with no real development.
Sadly, I think you're right. Even my first sentiment after reading the note was I might have to give up as well. I want to support the author, but this platform is money grubby. Adding another tier is only going to exacerbate the problem of pirating sites in my opinion.
