There is no instant kill. The only way to kill instantly is to destroy the brain. Turn it to a mist. That’s the only way to do a true instant kill. Sure he will die in a few minutes from his injuries, but his brain will be alive during that time, trying to heal and protect itself. That’s not a justification
You are reading into things that do not exist. You are speculating things that might be possible. You are adding to the story where it does not exist. You are attempting to mend a hole in the plot. Should be a staff or glaive. Even a war scythe would be better. Normal scythes suck as weapons. They get tangled on enemy clothing and they are difficult to use. Not a fan after trying them personally
