I wonder what direction the other human's itching go to. My theories are: The bruan'chi mother is towards spreading more of herself, Sarah's itch is something regarding her feelings/emotions and Jim's itch is towards survival or power.

He chose a seat in the middle row, not too close, but not too far. He would still be able to clearly see the professor and read from what appeared to be a chalkboard.
