Having said that, such guns exist in RL. Lets assume the quick acting compound that works against martial artist is the new invention ;-)

I find it weirder that mc states he wants to do the exam so he can have the official profession, but then turns around and sells things only somebody of said profession can have. Then again, I still am not sure whether Genius and songbird are bound fey or not due to contradictionary statements...

I am curious, but is 'unscientific' the proper translation? I have seen it before being used in similar contexts in translations, but an object or creature cannot be unscientific, only principals and methodologies can be unscientific.
