I think it works gotta love time travel can get confusing sometimes or even it ends in a loop. I forgot this can be let’s say timeline 2 (DBS) and timeline 1 is where trunks regular story/orgin happens once he time travels to timeline 2 (DBS) he changed it so doesn’t matter if he changes future of timeline 2 he future trunks will still exist.
