The way he says this implies that he wants Kirin to find a spirit animal companion, but in the next chapter he’s very upset when Kirin comes back with one. I understand that it was tinier than he thinks is good, but this is still very misleading. Like the spirit animal wIll just materialize and that will be your companion period. Is that intentional?

Relative to Kirin at this time, I would say anybody whose job recquires them to have knowledge and skills of this world that is new to Kirin.

I like this. tiny bird/song bird. The bird is not tiny, it’s song says more than it’s body. despite only just entering this world, he intuitively seems to know more than an expert.

Yikes, can’t even acurately insult. Hes helping make the book so of course hes going to defend it. what a character can and can’t do is what makes them interesting. His morals are what makes him relatable and human. if you were looking for a book where the main characters actually a sociopath just go away. I can see thats the only type of character you would relate to. While Its good to criticize, insulting people for having a different opinion on an arbitrary matter is stupid.
