You have a point but it's not necessarily 100% true, it's entirely dependent the circumstances of the situation. Oh I'm certain Curses can be suppressed. Personally I believe it would have to do with the potency of the Curse and the Suppression. I mean stronger Curse Users can make weaker Curse Users come to heel. This is also not to forget that Bloodhound has Purgatory Flames which literally cleanse Curses. I'm sure that there are more avenues to suppress/destroy a curse. Also I'd be remiss to point out that as a Higher Lifeform he's got a Heightened Physique, Weapons Mastery, Martial Arts and War Tactics so he's not 100% defenseless without his Curses or Soultraits. Of course it's not the same as having and using the others but that's not the point being discussed. He needs to have and maintain balance, every Higher Lifeform, Mentor, Trainer and Tactician up to this point has made it quite clear in this regard. TBH I am in agreement, he needs to be a rounded out fighter, leaving yourself to be a sitting duck is just dumb. Fight with everything you have even if it's to spit in the enemies eyes and kick them in the balls.

Oh I've been of the mind MC should have a Real World Wife and a Origin Expanse Wife since the beginning. However it doesn't have to be Maria. I mean yeah she's more his age but meh there's a bit too little interaction and too much misfire between them at this point. Plus his mindset is being pulled harshly into maturity with all the memory Orbs he's consumed. I don't think she can keep up with that, Alice is even having a eye opening towards MC in that regard. Honestly I think he might need to have someone who can keep up with him mentally as he continues to artificially mature. But that's just my thoughts on it.
