Wait, what if he meant don't disappoint me. By that I mean that if this is the MC and he wants to gather the rest of his souls, and that is why he made the system, what if he's telling the system to not disappoint it's "host". Since they technically might be one person which is why he seemed referred to himself when in actuality he's telling the system to take of his host self, help him and not disappoint him. Hence the "don't disappoint me".
Mixed feelings. But then again, the other you is quite smart. And, as he said, you're a bit dumb in comparison. But the amount of love he had for Lillian. I keep feeling like there's more to his behaviour. Hope we see his perspective one day
Oof is it bad that rn I like this guy more than the current one? In my defense, we don't know what exactly happened in the past, or his perspective. The current Lu Jingren is just so...dull in comparison. And has he said, a bit dumb as well.
He's a client. How he is shouldn't matter, I'm pretty sure she's worked with worse. Why is she acting like his therapist?
Why is everyone blaming Dane? It clearly took so much for him to do this interview, she knows this too, yet she's clearly disregarding that and being so pushy. Where is her professionalism? I hate how nosy she's being, like dude needs some time alone, is it so hard to understand?
Oh thank god. I was worried for a second back there. I'm glad that what I commented the last chapter didn't happen. Good to know she's still a badass
Why? This goes against everything she said in chapter 1
But she's Reina, not Estelle. She's just in Estelle's body. She can't and shouldn't forget her origins because that's who she truly is.
Noo. This is the last thing I want. Hopefully this doesn't happen. She's been so reckless, and useless tbh, all this time. It's only because of her companions she's able to go so far. I want her rational, logical side to come out more
But didn't she say that you shoud eradicate dangerous people instead of letting them grow in the first chapter? I liked her better in the beginning. She's become so muddled and incapable. She said that regarding the accusations she doesn't mind if Heine doesn't help them cause she isn't dependent on anyone's help, but that's what ended up happening. There was literally no use of her going as she did absolutely nothing. I know that for the plot and character development, the author gave her emotions but they've literally tore apart her given character and made her into another person. Even if she has emotions, where has her rational self gone? Especially during the fight. I'd love to see her train her emotions so that they can't affect her.
Who? Is it someone you've introduced already in both books? Cause I don't think I came across a common character
But during the last scene of her taking poision before this, it was mentioned that that was the time she was starting to stop feeling pain, and felt numb instead, and so she should take this chance to feel pain while she still can. And a lot of time has passed by since then
Also, did I miss something? Didn't she go ahead with being poisoned because she knew that it would make her stronger? Is there another reason, like she's done with training and accomplished her resistance to poison and pain or is it because of him?
See this is what I'm talking about. Why is he acting so wronged? Did he learn nothing these past few years? That reminds me, what has Dennis been up to?
I still think it's too soon for her to be so affected by Adrian. But that's just my opinion. She's been wary and cruel and cynical her whole life, so it'd make more sense if she toys with him than having a soft spot instantly. Or if you wanted her to portray her as compassionate, she'd pity him, almost condescendingly. Pity him just as she pitied herself once, but realize that pity is not gonna get anyone anywhere.
The book and the characters were quite unique yet somewhere it turned into a cliche, with the bad girl and good boy trope. Since it's a long book, don't be too quick in developing their feelings for each other. Cause right now, they're no good for each other. He's too immature and a hinderance to her plans. And she is too soft for him. She can't afford to be soft at all right now. Let them grow. Tbh, I thought it'd be enemies to lovers at first. And it still can be, now that I think about it. But either way, I hope it goes well.

I want her to wake up and realise her circumstances. She claims she's satisfied with this lazy life but has she forgotten the family she's born in? Where everyone has to fight each other to survive. It's sad to that she has to remain alert at all times, and I do think she deserves happiness. But right now, whatever happiness she does gain will be short lived. And she needs to be strong right now. Strong enough to want to get out of this family, and out of her father's hold. What happened to her plans with this family, especially her father and mother? She can't just throw those away. Why has she become almost as simple minded and naive as him? Cause she can't affort to be lax.
What happened to her? She's getting distracted because of Adrian and getting kidnapped as a result. And almost dies but he saves her? Why? He's weaker than her. She shouldn't have needed saving. And she's in this predicament because of him. This could be a great wake up call that he makes her weak. But that is probably gonna get washed away by her gratitude of being saved by him or something or the other.
