I think he literally considers writing his job and approach accordingly, and not just any job but a job that he is extremely committed to, as I believe he is writing almost every second of his time. Yes, JKS's had many eventualities, but I think it's his way to tell us all the effort he does to be able to bring us so good and so many chapters per week (and not short chapters). If he is down to one, two, or even more chapters, that it's not a problem as JKS is one of the most productive authors there are. Having something in stock would help him, but It will be horrible if he overstresses or reduces the quality of the novel to try to produce more.
I really like the history so far. But this Shephard guy appear out of nowhere and suddenly is his enemy. Also why there is a group of people that would warning him about his actions if he hasn't done anything suspicious? I hope all these things will be clarify in the future
