I want to give BQQ the benefit of the doubt about her baby, because post partum hormones can make mothers feel repulsed by their child instead of bonding and newborns truly aren't very pretty...but she sounds so superficial and shallow with a whole chapter like this.

I need clarification...did she actually eat the thing or was the thing found on her person? It says Wintson found it in the cave with her but this chapter explains what happens when it's eaten. Regardless, ew. Rosa deserves some bad punishment but not this. I'm not convinced she fully understood what could happen to her. If the males hadn't protected enough and the village fell (like she seemed to want) this still would have happened to her.
