The laws of all countries serve the wealthy; it's nothing new. This has been happening since the beginning of the very first society. It would actually be weird if the laws didn't do that. After all, we humans tend to choose what benefits us rather than what benefits others. We are selfish creatures, after all.
When you are a child, you wish to grow up; and when you are grown up, you wish to go back to being a child. The grass is always greener on the other side.
The story is good, but the pace is really terrible. At this rate, it will end up being longer than the original story. I hope you do something about it, because it's a really big issue.
"Let's say you own a piece of land that holds immense riches, but it has a significant problem: it is plagued by harmful insects. You could simply eradicate them all, but doing so would degrade this priceless land and render it vastly inferior to what it once was. Alternatively, you could implement a precise solution that resolves the insect problem while preserving the land's wealth. However, the person holding this solution refuses to risk their life for your cause. You decide to force them into it anyway for your own benefit, promising them a share of the profits if they succeed."

"I have no time for a long review, but I want to say what needs to be said. The story is good, but the only major downside is the excessive number of multiple POVs, which makes the plot unnecessarily slow. Having multiple POVs isn't inherently bad, but having too many of them ruins the pacing. I hope you take my advice and streamline the narrative. I've read your other novel, so I know you are so much better than this!"
