It's hard not to adopt some of the traits/culture from the race you were born and raised by. Especially when a large portion of the galaxy practices said culture/traits. I'd also like to point out that all dark skinned races are vilified by the rulers of said portion of the galaxy.3. I don't think you read my entire comment either. If you did however, there may or may not be some truth to what I said regarding him getting with a "dark skinned" woman.It makes perfect sense that he'd feel the way he does. No reason to get up in arms. I'd like to point out that it's a fictional story. Remember that. The author can choose to do what he wishes. If you have a problem with that go somewhere else.

Why not splint? Or a variation of splint. Like maybe a chest plate supplemented by leather straps and chainmail. You could make that much faster and it would provide greater protection. Just my thoughts. Chain is heavy AF and its ugly and has the tendency to bind. Your standard hauberk would weigh around 50lbs alone without the rest of the gear you proposed the soldiers carry.

It seems as tho you're projecting and making it into a modern race thing lol. It's fictional and in space with aliens. Relax. Every species in the book it seems like is heavily racist. Why is it a problem all of a sudden that he finds darker skin colors gross? His race finds everyone gross lol. It also says he's never met anyone with darker skin. Who knows, once he meets a dark skinned woman he might change his mind.

I really hope the author reveals what made him like this. Light became the way he was because of the power he held and for the thrill of getting away with his crimes. Sam, however, doesn't make any sense at all.

This behavior conflicts extremely with his character. Why hide at all if he's going to get mad that someone said he's weak?

I feel like they'd be much lower. Think about it. What does this empire do to lords? If there's no/very little lords who can use the summoning scrolls, then there's no one buying them, right? So I think the supply is really high because adventurers go out to kill monsters to make money. When they kill monsters they collect all the drops, but there's nobody who can use the scrolls or scroll fragments, so they just collect dust on shelves. Hopefully he can get a bunch for dirt cheap.

Well I've heard it's hard to update or make changes to chapters on web novel so I'm sorry if I caused any stress. It's hard to use numbers or stats sometimes when writing because there's always that guy who fact checks you. Unfortunately, I realized too late that I was that guy...

I thought it was well paced. It just needs to be enough to keep interest. I especially liked/appreciated the mythology and the author notes that explained said mythology . The effort you put into it is plain to see. I actually learned a lot reading this which I find really cool.
