Here is what I think. Ten years. For it to be decades as previously stated, and knowing that there are indications known to correspond with it opening, maybe the first indications were ten years. Him saying ten years, could mean this cycle it took ten years for the Vault to open from the first sign. I think though, that even though the tower masked his energy from assimilating with his new abilities, it didn't keep it from impacting the world. With the Vault primed and supposed to be opening within days, his impact on the world prematurely opened it immediately. You have to acknowledge there's a correlation because the timing is too together. Let's not forget what Sage has just endured in the past month, and the actual impact of the rewards he just assimilated. their titles are not small, they are Divine, and Primordial. Those are not small, and now, they have presence on this world through him. Let's tie that back to the Vault. Remember the kinds of rewards linked to the Vault? Now go back to the titles of his abilities. This is why it created the phenomena in the world that occurred this time. That is what will make this opening that much different. That, or I have a very healthy imagination.
