I'm starting to feel the frustration that Fallen_Divinity was feeling. As much as I like Ryu being proud and aloof, this is just too much. The sudden turnaround is unprecedented and has no foundation, there's literally no reason for them to be acting like this. Sure City Lord Loom wants to use Ryu for something, but as a proud cultivator how can he just lower his head like that. A more natural flow would have been to have them fight again, establish that Ryu has the power to fight back and prevent humiliation and then use this as the basis for whatever is to come. But it has already happened so there's no point in my saying anything.
