I think I explained it before but he can only extract one organ from a creature. So he can either get the heart stored, or absorb an organ. I hope that explains it. 😄

*she never mentioned him her past*, sounds weird here. you could go for, 'She never told him about her past.' Or, 'She never mentioned her past to him.'
The only person she was able to bond with was her boyfriend, yet she never mentioned him her past. he didn't know she was adopted, nor of her nightmares in the night. she had kept those things because she was too scared that if she would tell him then he would leave her. - AkshatArpit16dCommented
you should try using ',' instead of ':' after 'whispered' as it'd add to the immersion. Just my opinion. 🫡
