What does that have to do with this fic? It's first chapter of a story, author's vision of characters is not known and I lack context that the spell used on Snape was created him (at least in this fic). That's why I asked why.

Do you really not have a better argument? I'm disappointed. And besides I don't see what you said as true. After all how else would a phrase "I told you so" be used then after successfully calling out someone's idea as dumb (anyone can make a mistake but still making them after being called out a few times does make someone a dumb*ss). How would you call someone who doesn't see that tactics don't matter without sufficient personal power to use them, the flaw in her condition for her hand and puts way too much stock in chess as measure of intelligence and peak of tactical training instead of a possible start on path of tactics?

And how do you evaluate waifus? Because to me it means to look at how she looks, the way she is acting (her character) and on that basis checking if you like what you see. How else?

I must disagree. If you are saying that from perspective of someone who read fanfics witch take the worst interpretation of her actions then you haven't really understood her character. Same with first few episodes of anime. Because otherwise you would know that she is actually a really good woman.
