There were some Pokemon that were neither strong nor all that attractive, at least in my opinion, that still managed to have enough fan support to get an area dedicated to them, and I frankly could not understand what these people were thinking. I mean why would anyone like Trubbish or Garbodor? During my time there I noticed a definite bias for Gen 3/regional Pokemon, but honestly, that was not all that surprising. Still, I could not help but be stunned by certain Pokemon that managed to get areas dedicated to them. The first was a fishing contest where the winner would receive a complete Anorith fossil. Yes, not a Claw Fossil, but a whole undamaged fossilized Anortith. Seeing that being listed as a prize for a fishing contest no less, I could not help but wonder which spendthrift arranged the prizes. Thankfully, there were other chances/places for them to battle such as the Combat Tower, the Battle Maison, the Desert Palace, and the one I was looking forward to the most, the Dragon Spire said to be staffed by the ancient draconid people/tribe. Each floor had a Dragon Tamer from the draconid tribe and it was said that the final floor master was as strong as Drake, the dragon master. - Bobyslurp231mthCommented

A lineup like this meant that Dad was now coming really close to becoming a "veteran" among Ace Class trainers, and with some more work, he could qualify for a rank up to the Elite-Class, at least Pokemon-wise, though he would need two more (high) DG stage Pokemon for that. Not that he could get promoted even if that happened since he was missing out as far as the other conditions were concerned. Still, he would be marked as a veteran-grade Ace-Class trainer, or maybe even a special grade one, which was an accomplishment in itself. - Bobyslurp231mthCommented

If Supple's effect had been limited to just that it would have been a pretty good talent, but it was the next bit that made the talent a really great one. Instead, it was a decently sized Togekiss that I would definitely have a harder time carrying in my arms. Not because of her weight, but rather because of her dimensions. Togekiss's form was just a "bit" unwieldy, which might be no problem for a hug, but would just not feel the same when I tried carrying her around in my arms. - Bobyslurp231mthCommented
certain people are just really enthusiastic about certain things, and when that thing becomes their job, they have one of two reactions. they either like it less because it's now tedious as it being their job, or they love it just as much or even more, and their job becomes one of their greatest joys.
Thankfully, Rose's turn came way before that. She showed up 2 hours and 56 minutes into the first round. Don't get me wrong the performances were good and I was sure everyone had fun watching them, but I was starting to close in on my saturation point. I had no idea how the judges were able to keep their full attention/focus during each performance showdown and still maintain the same level of enthusiasm. - Bobyslurp231mthCommented

Regardless, once I was done putting on the stuff, Moka wished Bruce good luck as well, before we retreated and I gave him the go-ahead. Bruce then initiated his evolution causing him to erupt in a bright light, and not long after energy began being drawn to the light cocoon making it shine even brighter than before. If that was not an indicator that something extra happened I did not know what could be.
