Well, I’m not sure if my language has trouble translating that into English, but I don’t think you’re covering all the meanings of "trap" with just those two limited definitions... So, is a "pitfall trap" not a trap? What would you call that hole in the ground that makes you fall when you exceed the weight limit of its top layer? As far as I know, a sinkhole is large and is only called that after it has already formed, not before... Thank you very much for your concern and the detailed comment, it’s a very good point of view. But don’t worry, it’s not a matter of fear or indecision on my part. That was just a joke; my wife won’t hit me if I decide to write a harem (don’t tell her… is she behind me? orz). Hahaha, but seriously… obviously, she doesn’t like the theme since it’s mainly aimed at men, nor does my mother… and my daughter probably won’t be a fan in the future either. But at the end of the day, I have an audience, one that I hope, if possible, will allow me to provide for my family someday by just writing. So, if the majority of my readers want something, I’ll listen. If many complain about the previews, I’ll remove them. If they point out recurring mistakes, I’ll fix them. And if the majority wants a harem… well, I have no problem writing it, as long as it logically fits within the story. I think you need to separate what the narrator says from what the characters say, since they can obviously lie, have subtext, or be mistaken. I already explained in another comment that they were grouped based on their beasts' tiers, whether they have 30%, 40%, or 50% stat boosts. But inside the Tiers the selection is random. In Ren’s case, this doesn’t even matter much since they don’t even acknowledge his 10%. But Kai is in the 30% boost group. These are details that don’t need to be added at this point because they would slow down the narration. (It's not like it breaks the story or matters that much... still here I am to add in the comments for the small group that cares) But hey, feel free to keep discussing anything, it helps with my activity rankings.
