The dogs are an extension of Kim. The AI's of the people in jail would have explained the situation. It's also why the killer wanted to kill Kim, if he would have succeeded, then the wolves would have disappeared sort of like Boss, but permanently. Kim was actually the one in control but his inaction led to the overkill of the wolves. I use dogs, wolves, and family interchangeably but they are genuinely massive and real looking wolves. Kim is blinded by his love and history but a new person meeting them would see his pets rip a man into pieces.

Wolves are much larger than even the biggest dogs. The growth would be mainly muscle, but everything else would need to keep up.

This novel is an excellent piece of fiction that combines chinese cultivation with the more modern type of system. I enjoyed the story so much. There are actual twists that got me, which is something rare. I'm a guy that called the ending to Interstellar half way.
