I'm of the opinion that there's little reason not to divulge the technique. 1. The barrier to mastery is insane for everyone but Rui. 2. Even if they know about the technique and how it works, how do you defend against a high speed projectile fired from a kilometer away? Iirc, most squires can't even sense that far, that's the entire draw of the technique even.
Of course, he was much less concerned about revealing his Pathfinder technique. That technique was valuable, no doubt, but it wasn't enough to get the Martial Union to take unscrupulous measures to obtain it.
