It's your story and I completely respect your decision, however I cannot understand what benefits hiding his potential would bring. It was previously stated that he wished to go out and adventure to level up as quickly as possible, would not being known as naturally talented not expedite this process? Additionally, wouldn't the MC being of a higher grade talent improve his relationship with his Emma, who is stated to respect those who is stronger? He already posses an impressive amount backing, I'd imagine even just knowledge of his talent would likely be enough to garner his family favor amongst nobility. I'm not sure what the MC's opinion is over holding authority, as the next possible head of house; would showing greater potential not provide him with greater supply of options, whether he decided to accept or decline.
