That wasn't to say the Gentle Fist was weak. It was a refined art designed to inject chakra into an opponent's internal system, rupturing vital organs and disrupting the chakra pathway system. Since a ninja's internal organs could not be trained or hardened, this damage was almost always fatal. The Gentle Fist was a comprehensive system—covering defense, offense, and both short and long-range combat.
