I mean, I don’t really think that he would have all of that power, but would have some. “Envoy” is basically the personificiation of a being, using someone as a “connection” to do their things. He could basically befriend “Death” and work with her as a job.

“Phoenix” is the only one from those cosmic entities that choses a “host” to do her work and an “envoy” is almost the same. A champion fights for their leaders, but an “envoy” can be temporarily possesed by her and have her full (or almost full) power. I also don’t see him as the champion of “Death”. He is between life and death, but still has life, so I don’t believe he should be her “champion”.

About the “ectoplasm problem” you could make Damien use his mental abilities and the Ghost Zone to organize his mind and do a command that automatically make his subconcious destroy the ectoplasm that goes off him. Also, when Damien claims the Ghost Zone, remember that people could use the energy of his dimension if they use magic or have powers about energy, so that he can block or permite their use. That way, he would not be unaware or you could just make it that they are unable to use his dimension, even if he isn’t denying them.

Also, I have a solution for the “nullified or stealed powers”. You could just say that his reincarnated soul fused with his new body and because of that, he can use his ghost powers even in the human form and make things that only living beings can do, for example: eat and breath. That way, the only he will lost or get stolen is his connection with the Ghost Zone, but still have his ghost powers. You could even say that he will only be capable of using the Ghost Zone whitout his X-Gene, when he claims the dimension as his own, by becoming the Ghost King or something.

About the chapters stability, can you write 2-3 chapters per week or 1 chapter per day? Just asking.

Now that I think about, Damien is a being between life and death, so wouldn’t “Death” or “Phoenix” be interessted in him and want to know him? Also, if you make “Death” really appear in the novel, you could make her make him a “envoy” or something for her. I mean, he could treat it akin as a job or something.

Mutant powers are OP, but they have a LOT of weakness. They are the most easier type to get their powers lost or stolen. Also, you could use creativity and go beyond what the people from Danny’s cartoon where able to do, he has the Ghost Zone as his own after all. He could create his own ghosts, use mental powers (ghosts can be poltergiests after all), copy magic and make his own style and even let the Ghost Zone appear as his domain and that way, warp reality, because the Ghost Zone is his reality. Actually, even get the title of “Ghost King” or became a god (I don’t recomend the god thing). Finally, don’t forget the countless threats, especially Thanos, that could become the first “universe ending threat”.
