He would have to change the entire chapter to third person to do that, otherwise it would be a jarring shift in perspective in the middle of a fight. Besides, I didn’t read it as weird of edgy.
(Posting this review at just over 20 chapters) The updates have been consistent so far. There are practically no noticeable spellng/grammar errors. And it’s very clear the author is doing their research, not just on the One Piece world, but in many other varied topics to help flesh out the more finer details of the story. It is pretty slowed paced though, not that I particulaly mind. All in all this is a really solid start. Hopefully it doesn’t get dropped 🤞
The ants go marching one by one. Hurrah! Hurrah! We slaughter termites just for fun. Hurrah! Hurrah! The ants go marching two by two. Hurrah! Hurrah! They’ll all be dead before we’re through. Hurrah! Hurrah! The ants go marching three by three. Hurrah! Hurrah! Were off to face our destiny. Hurrah, Hurrah!
I really loved the speech Licht gave at the end there. He makes such a good point. One of my favourite comic storylines has Superman asking Batman to train him in a room that emits radiation to mimic a red sun, taking away Superman's powers. It basically ends showing that when Superman actually learns how to fight he becomes a far more dangerous adversary. Just because you have powers doesn’t mean you should neglect your basics.
Thanks for the chapter
It’s hard to say with only 6 chapters, but I’ve enjoyed it so far. I’m definitely gonna keep reading to see where it goes. And Akira seems like a pretty well rounded protagonist too. All in all I’d say it’s a great start 👍
Thanks for the chapters!
