Please define heart blood. Couldn't all blood be considered heart blood? You're not saying Jun has to rip a person's chest open and suck blood directly from their heart to gain their power are you? If it's not something lethal like that I wonder if Holea would consider adding her superpowers to his list. That would mean he could see her memories though. That could be interesting with the whole past life and this world is a novel thing.
Hmmm, Lilith is in a difficult position here what with the elves making friends with the humans. In the end it was the humans who brought this on themselves for the unjustified murder of demons so I think it best she takes a neutral stance in the war and advises the elves to do the same on the condition that the demons don't attack the elves again. She could have Azriel deliver a message to the demons about his master's intentions in this regard which could also clear him of the traitor status. I realize this will probably destroy the new alliance the elves have with the humans but actions have consequences. For Sivel's sake maybe she could extend a limited form of protection for Eldric alone in the sense that he will survive the war without significant harm but nothing more.
(Speaking in Kazama Sato voice) "I yearn for true gender equality, I have no patience for one that doesn't take issue with male MCs and their harems but then turns around and says begone THOT when a girl takes interest in multiple men."
No insults or harassment or she can quit immediately? Thank God, it seems like she'll only be working there for five minutes. I found this novel yesterday and just binge read to this point in almost one sitting. It's been one of the most enjoyable novels I've ever read but I don't think I could endure an entire story arc of her working as a servant for those infuriatingly worthless people for a whole month.
I'm really confused about the world building in this novel. There's supposedly a special division of the police that deals with supernatural incidents and they among other people pay big money for students from Jackson Academy for their supernatural powers but the cops from the hotel incident didn't believe in the supernatural and thought Lea was a scammer. I can buy the supernatural stuff being on a need to know basis so ordinary cops wouldn't know (still doesn't explain why ordinary cops were on this case though instead of the supernatural ones) but now we have this guy who's sister is a classmate of theirs, meaning she has a superpower and is attending a school for people with superpowers yet her brother and his friends don't believe in supernatural stuff like divination and ghosts? How can the supernatural be a secret between immediate family? Just where is the line in this world between those in the know and ordinary people?
These are the rulers of this world? They must have some Godlike aides to keep everything running smoothly. Come to think of it, we really haven't seen much of this world outside the games. Could this actually be some kind of chaos dimension?
So I've been meaning to ask, we know the foxes in central are stronger due to the higher concentration of spiritual energy there and greater resources but HOW specifically does it make them stronger? Does it grant them higher stat growths? Like would comparing the stats of a level 20 central fox to a level 20 lightwind fox be like comparing the stats of a level 20 dragon to a level 20 slime? Or does it just enhance the speed of their growth and grant them more and better abilities? Cause I'm pretty sure Xue's system she got from Son Wukong himself reigns supreme in both instances. Is living in central like having a weaker version of Xue's system? Do the central foxes have anything over Xue other than level/stage of evolution and experience? If given the exact same amount of time to grow would Xue not surpass a central fox in every way?
I'm thinking something is going to happen in the fox's hunting festival that will force Xue to reveal her regalia attracting the attention of that Royal Bloodline Clan in central. Then we're going to get some revelations about Xue's family in this world. It's not like she was born from the trunk of a tree when she reincarnated right? What was a lone fox kit doing all alone in that forest where she met Yang? (Forgot his real name) I'm imagining a scenario where Xue's parents were Royal foxes who fled central for some reason before meeting a tragic end and some nine tailed fox will be coming to collect her extremely talented granddaughter so her talents don't go to waste in the low resource weak spiritual energy lightwind conteninent or worse...she ends up tainting her precious bloodline by mating with the impure silly fox. Cue drama.
That's exactly what's she's doing it turns out but her internal monologue this chapter, not just what she says out loud to Xue makes it seem she truly believes Yang was the one that put the hit on her which is really confusing.
I don't like how Mei Lan suddenly became stupid for for plot contrivance's sake here. If she was just pretending to believe Yang was the culprit to destroy Xue's relationship with him I could understand but according to her monologue she really thinks he did it! She even brought up the incident where that fox's human husband was murdered by a rival lover, a RIVAL LOVER, making her seem like even more of an airhead. Someone with her practically preternatural intelligence and information gathering ability should have figured this out.
Isn't that exactly what she was getting at when she said she smelled good? She did just come from a battle where she was soaked in her own blood after all. Even after washing up and changing clothes there would probably be a faint lingering scent that a powerful vampire could pick up on. Blood isn't that easy to wash out and a vampire's nose is like the olfactory equivalent of a blacklight. Even if all her blood was perfectly contained within her I'm pretty sure our vampire princess could smell how delicious her new big sister's blood is just by being in close proximity to her.
I'm pretty sure she just wants some of her blood not to literally eat her. I mean I could be wrong but it's pretty obvious she's a vampire princess right? I'm curious now as to how powerful vampires are in this world. The princess clearly sees her new foxxy big sister as a precious future servant/blood bag/pet and probably won't take kindly to having her taken from her. These assassins might of just f*@#ed up royally.
