I appreciate your feedback, but I'd like to clarify my approach. I'm passionate about writing and creating stories, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my work with a wider audience for free. However, maintaining a Patreon helps support my creative endeavors, covers costs related to my writing(wasted time), and allows me to offer additional content to those who choose to support me in this way. I don't view it as a matter of "pleasing" anyone or being on a "high horse." It's simply a way for me to sustain and enhance my English writing while continuing to provide free content for as many readers as possible. I understand if it's not everyone's preference, and I value your opinion. My goal is to find a constant balance that works for me as a writer and for my readers who truly enjoy my work. Thank you for your understanding. Also, it's worth noting that I've been writing and sharing stories for absolutely free for the past three years, solely driven by my passion for storytelling and my desire to improve my English skills through writing. During that time, I've received incredible support and feedback from readers like you, which has been immensely encouraging. As a result, I felt that I now had reached a level where I could ask for a bit of compensation for my time and skill, especially considering that I had already achieved my initial goal of significant improvement in my English proficiency through this journey. This doesn't change my commitment to providing free content; rather, it's a way for me to continue doing what I love while sustaining my creative efforts. I want to assure you that your feedback is valuable, and I'm always striving to strike a balance that works for both me as a writer and for my dedicated readers. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Because that's his FIRST family EVER? 🤷🏻♂
Making 10k chapters would be a breeze if I just added some cooking and filler scenes like many other authors do. I've actually tested this out in one of my previous fanfics, but trust me, you wouldn't want to read it. My current approach is quite different. It takes me a whole day to carefully craft a 2k or 3k-word chapter. I put a lot of dedication and focus into every single sentence to make the perfect masterpiece. If you're after those '8k' garbage, then you might want to look elsewhere. I'd rather quit writing altogether than churn out that kind of word-count-driven junk.
