In asia, back then the more fair or light skinned you are, means you come from a higher status. People who were daker were manual labored who worked outside in the sun. “Peasants… poor ppl… laborers…farmers” its not a race thing. Its a beauty standard and status thing. So being fair means you come from a good backround and your skin is unblemished from hard work. a status simble, becomeing the standard in beauty. Thats why you see asian women wrapping themselves like a mummy with huge hats and SPF OF 100 when they go outside. Alot of brands and skin products also have lightners on them. More ppl who are more extreme will use belaching products to bleach their skin. Also using colors to label the color of somethong in asia is pretty normal. not necessarly mean or to be racist. thats why u see alot of names for pets, skin colors, being labled as the color they are ”little white, little black, whity/blacky” I didnt realize labeling colors is an issue before until i visited AMERICA for the first time. it sounds terrible if you associate it with race! dDf. Need to understand that the demographics or audiance who are reading their works extended to more than the intended audiance. Maybe be more politicaly correct? Culture sensitivity? 😬

She looks eight but shes 12. i would understand if she looked quiet mature For her age. But basically this grown man is feeling some type of way towards an 8year old looking girl. I really like the story but this part is weird to me. The author should have made it seem like he feels protective towards her. Not addicted to her softness or warmth. Should be familiar feelings then develope to something like attachement/dependency and love after she matures enough.
