I have to disagree. Romance doesn't ruin stories, only very badly written romance can. Romance is to stories like seasoning is to food. Food without seasoning is edible, but there's nothing making you want more or making you happy to keep eating it. While it's not tasteless, there is still nothing making you want more and nothing memorable about it. VERY few would end up liking it more than the same food with seasoning. Romance brings life to a character and relatability to most (not all), reading it and makes the character feel more human. While VERY few would be able to relate to a romance less character. I'll add this last part to close off my rant because I could go on far longer. almost all of the most well-known and most beloved stories across the globe are either romance stories or stories with a heavy amount of romance, so there is no way that romance in general ruins stories

The few weirdos in the comments saying romance ruins stories are a minority who don't have romance in their personal lives, the best stories on this app, and other apps have a major focus on romance, and even though it just started this feels realistic and well written.
