I appreciated a good tale. And also a hope that once in a while, even after the "Main" story is done, we'd get to revisit the Vahn family once in a while. when you're getting to the point of pure OP, at some point, why can't you say and do what you want? good on Vahn getting to this point. hopefully he never fails in his Dao Heart, because as Li Qiye of Emperor's Domination once mentioned. Though it was a little awkward entrusting a 700+-year-old man to take care of an infantile woman, feeding, cleaning up after, and even bathing her, Vahn knew that Daniel's affection towards Roen was sincere. Wow. Aaron313 was still a bit too harsh. My thoughts are that we can't take Vahn and Mordreds relationship as evil. Because, 1st, Vahn and Mordred are NOT even related by blood, heck they are NOT even related by realities! So they come from 2 very different realities. 2nd, Vahn has kept his relationship with Mordred as a father figure for DECADES, and so I'm pretty sure, when he did the 'deed', Mordred was NOT underage, NOT even close. She was DECADES into her life, when she and Vahn changed their relationship. 3rd, who hasn't heard of the concept of 'roleplay' in the bedroom? (yeah, yeah, only those who are grand Wizards may not have..) 4th, this is still a fictional setting. With fictional characters doing fictional and frankly fantastical stuff. Can't really apply true reality to fiction. They may 'seem' realistic. But if you scratch the surface, you'll see it's still a story about a boy becoming a man, who then becomes a father figure, in turn a ruler and then a god. How is that even close to a reality we call ours? All the same, if you're not comfortable with reading this story anymore, there are plenty of violent and brooding stories on webnovel...I'm sure you can find one to satiate your hunger for violence and destruction. Nothing wrong with that right?

I just realized that a Cross over with Genzo Shibata of Kemono Michi x Dog Days...would probably result in Shibata NEVER leaving the Dog Days realm....EVER. I agree with Ein in that Vahn is mostly the same character as he was way back when: reluctant to kill, but willing if the situation arises. it's not like it's his ONLY option. With the greater powers, comes greater options. (next to greater powers require greater responsibilities). So to those more blood thirsty readers. Seriously you people need to realize that Vahn is also trying to change. He's not Superman; a being created to represent the best of people, due to he upbringing he had. He's Vahn; a kid tortured since day one and used by callous people and escaped to a dangerous world of Danmachi. He learned different lessons than Clark ever did. Now...hundreds of years later, he's trying to be a better person (I was hoping he would have changed alot earlier with the birth of his first kids...but...that's not my decision). I find that for immortals a hundred years to change personalities is 'reasonable'. I know he won't be a Superman, but I for sure hope he gets close enough that he would be not embarrassed if he meets a version of Superman and they talk about life and fish and chips and beer and archnemesisess..
(A/N: I'm honestly a little taken aback by some of the comments in the previous chapter. It amazes me how senseless people can be at times; completely ignoring the actual context in the novel just because it contradicts one of their own personal biases. I mean, seriously, Vahn had never enjoyed killing people so why do some of you asshats keep acting like it is the only fucking solution to every goddamn problem in the novel? Even when he literally curses people to become cripples in a world where virtually everyone has superpowers, you act like every enemy he lets walk away is actually the reincarnated MC of a wuxia novel. There are even people making completely arbitrary claims about Vahn being a hypocrite for arbitrary reasons, none of which have anything to do with the context of the actual novel. Seriously, how is Vahn being 'hypocritical' when, from the very start of the fucking novel, he is always shown being depressed or remorseful after killing? It is something he genuinely hates to do, yet, as if he is some Chad Thundercock with a perpetual murder boner, you completely ignore this to say thoughtless remarks that completely ignore more than 1800 chapters of evidence contradicting your claims. Vahn has almost always killed as a mercy or to save the people he wants to protect. Stop pretending like he walks around with rosary beads filled with the eternally suffering souls of his enemies while wearing clothes sewn together from their still-living flesh. Seriously. Ah yes. This is like the stories of Superman/Dr. Who/Saitama stop being a good man with rules. It’s all One Punch all the way. You got the biggest hammer. Use it. Liberally and freely. Stories become short and direct and well…less interesting if the challenge isn’t there. Ok. Now can we get back to the regularly scheduled story? 😊 Dog Days here come!....uh...no? drat!
