fear because of the being that wiped the floor with her, anger for the same reason she tried to kill him to begin with

Jien sat up in his bed slowly while continuing to peer at the rather beautiful grey skinned woman who sat weakly but calmly in the chair at the foot of his bed. The only thing about her that was not calm was her eyes, which upon meeting his showed a hint of anger but more so a vast ocean of fear. He couldn't comprehend why she looked at him with such fear but also couldn't understand the anger. He pondered for a short moment before figuring that it had something to do with the summoning, perhaps the way that it had been performed or resolved. Then it hit him that he didn't recall bargaining with her or signing a contract, if that was what needed to happen given that she didn't seem to be what the others had described as being a demon.

you'll just have to wait for your answers

The children were looking at Jien with a mixture of anxiety and regret. If only they hadn't recommended that he try the summoning this may not have happened. They couldn't help but blame themselves in part for this outcome. They on occasion would look at the summoned woman with wary and anger filled gazes. They were not the only ones to blame. If this woman had fulfilled the contract like it should have been then they would be helping Jien understand how to work with his demon, not wondering if he would ever wake up again.

This was answered earlier but it is pretty much one per person as a stabndard.

    lol...

On several large floating isles that hovered miles above the planes were vast cities made of dark stone which shone with the light of many torches and candles in the houses. On the largest of these floating islands stood a vast and towering castle with nine spires that reached as if wishing to reach the moon itself. In one of these nine spires sat a woman of over seven feet in height. Her build was well proportioned, her skin a deep grey in color, her hair a deep crimson as if made of strands of the purest blood cascading down her sharp features. Her hair was left to lie flat all but for a few small braids tied off with intricate golden rings. Her eyes were a mix of golds, oranges and reds as if they were made of living flames. To the side of her head rested a set of large rams' horns that were black as obsidian but smooth as silk and on the bridge of her nose sat a pair of small, circular, gold rimmed glasses connected by a gold chain.

    more ships

Lesley and Olivia had introduced their contracted demons already, so Olivia simply added that Rumnos gave her a boost in speed and if summoned in his animal form was large enough for her to use as a mount if needed. Bernard followed by summoning the shadow of a large stallion behind himself from a steel pocket watch that had a rearing stallion on its lid. He presented his demon by the name Lyle and stated that he likewise provided a boost to speed but less of an explosive boost and more of an acceleration. Of course, there was also the fact that as Lyle had the shape of a stallion he could also be used as a mount. This left Barret he simply said the name Liza while pointing to a golden tie clip in the shape of a sitting cat with its tail curling up beside it, stating simply that it provided him with enhanced stealth.

I found the classification interesting because I never considered it.

It was Olivia that picked up the conversation from Jien's answer. "Demon enhancement is one of the ways to us the power of a contracted demon." she stated this casually as if it was common knowledge, but the fact was that up until recent years it was hardly known. "First you would need to attempt a summoning, then you would form a contract with the summoned demon if you succeed. After a contract is made it would be possible to better understand what your demon can do through their bond with you. Usually, a demon will be able to enhance one aspect during a battle to a certain degree depending on their level of power."

the struggles of a bookworm and scholar

Jien looked at his father, Runa, Mark and Emily who responded with a bit of a bitter smile. This wasn't a common practice during their youths and unlike some of the other noble households the Losler household did not keep up with the latest trends in the arcane arts unless they were related to education at the academy. Demon summoning and contracts was not a necessity by any stretch and only those brave enough to take the risk usually did so. How were they to know that children of all people were leaning into this practice to gain an extra boost in power.

    definitely a classy look

He wore a starched white shirt with black silk tie covered by brocade green vest with golden accents. His black pants were pressed to perfection and his black leather boots had golden accents at the eyelets for the black laces, drawing the gold throughout the outfit as a whole. Across his waist was a gold chain leading to his vest pocket which contained an intricate gold pocket watch. Finally, his hair was tied back into a ponytail with a green ribbon matching that of his vest. It was in this outfit that he made his way calmly to one of the lounges to hear the results of the results of the matches they had all fought not long ago.

    Lol, perhaps

Lesley like Olivia felt that he had little chance to be a leader and to be honest he didn't even want that responsibility. Lastly Barret's thoughts were a mystery to everyone as his ever-stoic expression masked his intents, and his grey eyes watched the current match with what appeared to be little interest.

The others marveled at Lin Feng's presence, while the man himself never even gave Melissa one look, staring at Dante the entire time with a strange glint in his eye. After Boris introduced him, he directly stepped forward while facing Dalvin.

If it was up to Felix, he would have brought with him his spatial rings or AP bracelet, but there was no way he could shrink them too. Thus, he left them behind in a secured place until his return.

That's because the only draw side of voiding the contract was getting blacklisted by the Vibrnonxian empire and get treated as a fugitive.

While things occur in the mindscape that does not always mean he is present there or able to know about it. Rather he feels the impact of the changes

The issue with this thought process is that he had only ever seen the Mindscape once, when he had cast the spell for the first time and had his short discussion with the shadowy figure. Other than that one instance he had never been able to visual interact with the that space since. When he used the spell he could feel the knowledge being imprinted deep in his mind, but he never saw any physical representations of the absorbed knowledge like the transparent sphere.

likely yes. please feel free to point out errors as I appreciate the help

Her blade of choice ended up being the rapier due to its light weight, but she didn't know how to actually use it properly. Of course, the military academy had been willing to teach her how to wield a blade, but the rapier being a dueling weapon mostly they didn't have a teacher specific to the weapon. As such they trained her in a number of basic sword forms that would be useful for a blade mainly based in piercing. At the time Emily's grand master devoured every scrap of knowledge she was given and had striven to bend it to the rapier even if it wasn't meant for such a light blade. She also spent time digging into any type of weapon that could be used in a piercing manner, whether a pull arm or a dagger and began to pull the similarities into a semblance of fencing art.
