yes but then it comes to the fact that, that part of immersion makes the rest of the game significantly more hard due to suspicions of the player being a spy of some sort and having someway to hide their chakra levels and only revealing it bit by bit to simulate growth. the game is not for trained proffesionals in espionage or anything, it's for the general populace of the world making a game too difficult would simply make it so that people would stop playing it. it's easier to give up a tiny piece of immersion that most wont think about to maintain the player base instead.it could also just change the npc's idea on how the got to that level retroactively like saying that the training was more effective or some such and that's how they got that much chakra or they just already had a prodigious growth rate and that's how they had so much chakra . there are a variety of ways it can be done and i can't be bothered to list them all

here is a bit better of a reason why it's not important as the author says this a game world and as such the creators/the ai of the game can add restrictions to it such as the npc's not noticing a players spike in chakra, this restriction wouldbe there to prevent immersion disruption of the players. I hope my explanation works better for you than the authors did.

it's not weird this chapter has brought a new side of our beloved mc to light in the DxD arc he was not very nice due to the various developments that happened during it where as in this chapter we saw a surprisingly nice side of him with the resurrection of Ed and Al's mother which was not something that was required of him and it shows a growth of character which for most readers is very enjoyable even if they don't necessarily notice why in the moment.
