I dropped my knife, Tracing a quick katana. It was nothing special, but it would serve my purpose. I swung it in an arc, aiming for her neck. She blocked without a second thought, catching my katana on the blade of her tonfa. The tonfa carved through the flimsy metal like butter, but I didn't let that bother me. I used her momentary weakness to stab forward with the remaining half of the katana, hitting her in the shoulder. I began walking. Right now I was Lost, so I couldn't get any more Lost than I was. And since my subconscious noticed 'Italy' and 'rural', I was pretty much stuck where I was. So, I was looking for a place I recognizedāhell, even the Vatican would work. No such luck. The configuration I was using was an odd one. I had Denied a round, softball-sized diamond into existence, chock full of mana. I had then inlayed it with several spell gems, all of which being necessary to make the configuration work. The gems drew power from the diamond, removing any cost on my part.
