I've read Through this multiple times and their are a lot of things I like about it. It is a little bit dark, but its tagged as such so I cant complain. I feel like the passing is pretty good, and the general concept and characters are all established right away, so theirs no waiting around until chapter 5 for the story to really get started.

My name is Kyoto Naru. The world has been devistated by nuclear fallout, and an alien invasion from a diferent deminsion. We call them the Ramaki. With those two things devistateing the world people really only live in afew places anymore. Japan, Britania, Icland, and afew other islands. We get all of our food from elaberate undergorund farms and try to fight the beasts. We didnt make any progress, but then we found that we can use the aliens blood to give people superpowers. Im one of the children given these powers and I go to a special school along with others like me. The government hopes that we can save the world one day. I dont know about all that... But having powers sure is fun.

The Rising of The Half Demon

If an angel can fall... then why cant a demon rise. It’s the year 154 of the demon age in a world overrun by demonic creatures and beings, so much so that only a handful of cities remain left on the planet. The angel’s abandoned the people and no one knows where they went or if they will ever return. Each city has its own distinct culture and beliefs and some are completely shut off from the others while the majority of them have open borders and have free communication and transport via teleportation circles left by the angels before they vanished. In this world a wise young half demon girl pairs up with a witty, lighthearted, but sometimes deadly serious Half dwarf to try and unite the cities to take a stand against the demons and take back there land that once flourished.
