The chapters lately have been essentially filler with no actual progress in the story. Although I like other side characters being described it shouldn’t be at the expense of the progression of the story.

No even in nationalised healthcare systems the same applies, vast amounts of unnecessary money is given to people that don’t put in any work in hospitals. In a nationalised healthcare equivalent what ends up happening is nepotism takes over, the postions higher up essentially can never be achieved by people without some sort of “backing”. And large transfer of wealth also is happening in many countries right now as well from public hospitals to private ones simply because it benefits politicians more. I say wealth and not money because the funding that should go to public hospitals gets deprived and fills the pockets of politicians and their friends that “help” these sectors. Hence why public hospitals don’t feel as good as private ones.

Don’t think too much of it, it’s a plot point like many other things.
