    Let me just start by saying, WOW. The author really throws you into this immersive world of violence and chaos. The extremely well written first chapter immediately sucked me in. Can't wait too devour this story!! Thank you Author for all your hard work!

    The intro chapter was just her freeing the slaves and herself, in the second chapter it picks back up with them in the desert looking for a safe place to make camp.

    I really enjoy the book in a book, sequence you gave in the first chapter. How he fell asleep reading (as most of us do) and then woke up in another world. Very interesting plot, can't wait to see where this story goes! Thank you Author for your hard work!

    Very good intro paragraph. Grabs you right away.

    The night sky was like it always was. Bloody red with a milky-white orb hovering in the middle. The streets were empty; not even a single light protruded from the dark homes. A thick blanket of silence smothered the entire town as shadows reached out for each other through the scarlet glow of the heavens. There were no cars, no drunkards nor businessmen trying to catch the last train. The only two people in the city talked underneath a broken streetlight, whispered to each other as if they were scared the shadows would hear them.
