Throwing out the random guess that nephis is the mc's sister, purely because she was mentioned once in a previous chap. Even though it was pretty much implied that said sister died, it was left vague enough that there is still a possibility (albeit a wildly improbable one) of my theory being true.

Instead, he was staring at the line of text that read "Nephis", as though the girl's actual name held more meaning to him than the one given by the Spell.

Thank you for confirming! Was starting to get a bit worried (an author of another webnovel I was reading fell into a coma for a month and nearly died, and now I have trust issues towards hiatuses)

Meh, most of the titles I've seen are fairly ok in the original Chinese. They're not the most creative, but, they convey what the book will be about, like most other Asian stories (Japanese and Korean stuff included). The titles in English are indeed comically long and descriptive, but that's a side effect of translating languages were a single symbol can have a very hefty definition. Admittedly, though, I have seen a few absolute stinkers out there.

Keep in mind that in chinese, there are dozens of characters that would be spelt fan or mo, and many of them have different pronunciations, and all of them have different meanings, which makes things complicated. For example, a friend of mine is has a first name of xinyu, and another friend is called yuxin. Although the yu is the same symbol in both names, the "xin" in the two names have vastly different meanings, and nobody would mix them up

Mo Fan put on a disguise and used the name Fan Mo before heading to the Thousand Islands Lake.
