But what he did not know was he was in warring states period. He do not know whether he is in the middle of the era or close to the end of it. What he knows is...HE IS DOOMED. He is born in a shinobi clan who's name he has never heard of. Based on his current understanding, his clan was in the middle or upper-middle of the power hierarchy. His clan is famous for two things, having good sensors and an average or above average mastery of fuinjutsu. This does not mean his clan does not have ninjutsu. As ninjutsu is required for the survival of any clan. But his clan is not famous for it, meaning, when it comes to ninjutsu his clan is only average at best. Let's not even think about genjutsu. His clan has no talent for it. As for the medical jutsu, his clan has below average or beginner understanding in that. The reason he is doomed is because not only was he born in an era in which children are sent to the battlefield but also because in the naruto canon nobody has heard of the Shiru Clan. Which means his clan was destined to be erased. That is why, when he learned this information he screamed, cried and cussed.
