Forearm that is broken off from elbow is not aerodynamic so it is highly unlikely to fly several thousands of meters in a arch or in any trajectory.

If the lava river is over a 100 kilometres long and over 10 kilometres wide this man has serious lung capacity to shout instructions to the other shore from beyond horizon, where he even can’t see people who are supposed to cross it. Pretty sure Lucien’s self heal means nothing. Quoted this near the end of previous chapter ”The number of red-eyed rats decreased, so Lucien seized the chance and healed the wounded as well” My theory is that the Gary’s whiskers mentioned two chapters ago has something to do with it. Since young children are brainwashed by church, so Gary had actually forgot being rat hybrid and it is possible that the stench that is coming from the floor full of corpses triggered his transformation.

His teeth got dislodged not knocked out of the mouth. A dislodged tooth occurs when a tooth happens to push up further into or out of its original socket. My theory: He has the ”tooth happens to push up further into its original socket” version. I assume it would be painful to speak, but not that restricting to his speech??
