Indeed! There are a lot of series that could seamlessly be included which mesh well with Marvel/HP: John Wick, Black Lagoon, Invincible, Jackie Chan, JoJos, etc

I imagine it's something like when people are whispering near you and you can't help but hear it. In this case those without mental protections just voice their thoughts out in a similar way and any decently powerful mage can just pickup on it.
Reminds me of my Oblivion and more over Morrowind days making the most absurd game breaking spells possible.
