I’m telling the chef to stop using ragú with their spaghetti, to stop using barbecue sauce with chicken nuggets. Make a new sauce, something unique but still tastes good. If you eat the same thing everyday, eventually you get sick of it. My comment essentially says to be more original. I’m tired of seeing the same thing in every novel on here, necromancers is another overused trope—it’s not even an actual genre so it shouldn’t be one btw. I don’t see how you don’t get that.

What kind of argument is that? The whole point of books and media is to be consumed. If the consumer (AKA me) doesn’t like something, I have every right to point it out. This applies to video games, apps, books, etc. That’s like not being allowed to dislike certain foods since I can’t make it. lol.

The place they were transferred to is a medieval setting, yes. But where do they come from? I can only assume they are from modern times and presumably American with the way they spoke before. So why did bro start talking like he was back to a time he never lived in? It hasn’t even been 10 minutes—30 at max—since they got there. Our dialect is something that has changed throughout the times, it is not something that completely changes after passing through a portal. I am “nitpicking” it because it was out of place—for me—and it ruined my immersion into the story. FIY, Medieval English is much more eloquent—harder—to look at and read than that. Try reading Shakespeare untranslated.
