I think that was just the straw that broke the camel's back, the bulk of the emotional baggage was probably due to him being torn away from his cozy life and placed into a world full of child soldiers, with him being one, all without consent.

I've been reading this little gem over on FFN and I'm glad to say that it's been a great read. It's an incredibly realistic portrayal of how transmigration scenarios should progress. I personally love the depth of Takuma's character and his development. From the desperation he had in the academy, to the determination and resolve that he has now. (I'm currently at chapter 60) I can easily tell that this is going to be a long novel, something that I can certainly appreciate, hence the (relatively) slow power growth. Not that I'm against it. There's far too many "kage level at age 13" fics going around. I digress, this approach to power development makes normally irrelevant achievements feel like the second coming of Christ, that C-rank jutsu had more narrative weight than most fics give to Black Zetsu or Obito. Lastly, I gotta talk about this beautiful world that you've built up. What you're doing with the Genin Corps really speaks for itself, amazing stuff. All in all, don't listen to the others who complain that its too slow or that Takuma is pathetic. (which, yeah, that's the point, especially in the academy arc) Their dopamine receptors are ash from the millions of "Sage Of The Six Paths level power by chapter 10" fics they've consumed.

Translation: daddy's girl went right under his nose and screwed her boyfriend, whom he doesn't approve of, now she's using our pal here as a cover-up to her loss of maidenhood. I am going to stop writing this fic for one of two reasons, the first of which being that I feel as if I could do far better. The second reason is that I feel my MC is a passenger to Harry's journey and that has severely crippled my ability to write due to the close nature of their relationship.
